Even when you have equity in your home, you probably won't be able to borrow all of it. Lenders will generally require at least some to be held back, and your credit score and current debt load will also be determining factors. Home equity lending conditions tighten and loosen over time and can vary greatly from lender to lender, so it is always a good idea to shop around to see what is available to you.
